Canzone II

Type:

Structure, Metrical Requirement, Rhyme Scheme Requirement

Description:

One source gives the structure of the canzone as five verses of 12 lines with a five line coda. This source does not mention line structures, so I would assume it would be the same mix of seven and eleven-syllable lines as described elsewhere for the Canzone.

Since this disagrees with other sources, until Poetry Renewal can identify exactly what this form was, we’ll just append the Roman Numeral to the name.
