Type:

Structure, Metrical Requirement, Rhyme Scheme Requirement, Other Requirement

Description:

This was originally a final half-verse in several larger verse forms, such as the ballade or sestina. It's purpose was to sum up the poem and dedicate it to the audience. Apparently, it has become a detached "form" for purposes of dedication. There is one wag who claims it should be addressed to "Prince"; however he is unsure if that is some patron or a diminutive pop star. As a detached form, it is a nonce form, although generally metrical and rhyming.
