Dada

Type:

Generative Method

Description:

  1. Cut from magazines or write down and cut out a large number words of different parts of speech.
  2. Put them in a hat or bowl or other container.
  3. Randomly pull words out of the container and arrange them on the page in order. You may decide where punctuation and line breaks go, but you may not change the order.
A Dada poem need not, and probably will not, make sense.
